香港電視網(wǎng)絡(luò)Hong Kong Television Network (HKTVN) is a multi-channel television network that broadcasts in Hong Kong. Founded by Ricky Wong, it offers local and international news, entertainment, lifestyle and sports programming. It was launched on November 19th 2013 as the third terrestrial broadcaster after RTHK & TVB.
HKTVN currently operates 10 channels—two High Definition feeds and eight Standard Definition feeds—in Cantonese Chinese as well as one English channel offering international news coverage from sources such as BBC World News, CNBC International and Bloomberg Television Asia Pacific. The network also produces its own original content such as drama series, variety shows and documentaries.
The introduction of HKTVN has brought increased competition to the broadcasting industry in Hong Kong. As well as providing more options for viewers to access quality television programs at no extra cost; HKTVN also offers advertisers an additional platform to reach out to their target audience beyond traditional media platforms like radio or print publications
