香港的地鐵服務由香港特別行政區(qū)城市管理局（Urban Railways Office, URA）負責。URA發(fā)布了一整套關于如何使用地鐵的官方服務內容。這些信息主要是供乘客們使用地鐵時參考所用。URA同時提供通過網(wǎng)站、手機應用等多種形式來獲取地鐵相關信息，以協(xié)助乘客出行前作好必要準備工作。此外，URA還會通過Facebook、Twitter或Instagram來及時回應乘客對地鐵問詢情況。

The Mass Transit Railway (MTR) is the main form of public transportation in Hong Kong. It consists of nine heavy rail lines, one light rail line and various feeder bus services that connect to each station. The MTR system covers most major areas in Hong Kong stretching from urban areas such as Central, Admiralty, Tsim Sha Tsui and Mong Kok to suburban districts like Yuen Long, Tseung Kwan O and Tuen Mun. The different types of tickets available range from single journey tickets with pre-paid value known as Octopus card to monthly passes which offer unlimited rides on all lines for a fixed price within the validity period.

香港地鐵的通常服務時間為每日早上6點至凌晨1點。周六和公眾假期（如國慶、新年及中秋）則是從8:00開始營運；星期天則從9:30開始營運。
